Why is my Credit Card rejected/declined?




 

We don't block payments or reject/decline credit cards. It's either your bank or your credit card provider that's blocking the electronic transaction. One of them doesn't authorize the charge on your credit card, and we are not provided with any information about the reason.

What can you do?

1. Verify that cardholder's name and billing address match EXACTLY as they appear on your credit card statement. We don't care, but your bank does! Please note that unless you are using a gift card, credit card payments are by no means anonymous.

2. Enter the correct CVV/CVC2 code: A 3-digit code printed on the back of your Visa or MasterCard / a 4-digit code printed on the front, on the right side of your American Express.

3. If your card is 3D-Secure, DO go through the Cardholder Authentication process when offered.

4. Turn off that proxy (if you're using one), it might have a bad reputation!

Users with similar issues usually resolve the problem by calling their bank and asking them to authorize the transaction. If that's not an option for you, try paying with your credit card through PayPal.
