I’m experiencing speed problems when behind a restrictive firewall (for example, in China).

At VPN4ALL we designed our VPN network with speed in mind. We ensure low user/server ratio. Most of our secure & anonymous VPN servers are residing on Tier-1 networks with dedicated 100Mbps and 1Gbps Ports (depending on the region) for a low latency VPN experience.

Remember, server speed is based on latency, which includes number of hops to the destination server, load on that server and the general conditions of the internet in the country you are browsing from. Even though local conditions in China are good, you have to navigate the China Firewall which places restrictions on speed that we cannot do anything about. The fact that you can connect to European and US servers at 10MBS is very good from China. Don't expect anything better than that. If you were in Europe connecting to the USA it would be better. If the Hong Kong server is too slow either switch to your fastest server or try this server at another time. For your convenience, the VPN4ALL application automatically indicates the fastest server available to you at that time. The fastest server is the green “lightning” icon next to the server location in the drop-down server list of your VPN4ALL application.
